New Microsoft email rules: What beauty pros must do to stay out of spam

First, Google and Yahoo tightened the rules.

Now it’s Microsoft’s turn - and their new email requirements officially kick in this Monday, May 5th 2025.

Yep… a last-minute curveball.

But don’t stress - I’ve got your back and I’m already ahead of the game.

Here’s what beauty therapists need to know to keep emails landing in inboxes (not junk folders):

Email authentication is now a must: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC all need to be set up correctly - for every email-sending platform you use.

  • If this sounds like jargon, it’s time to talk to your tech person or email platform support.

Your “reply-to” address has to match your domain: If you’re using something like Go High Level, double-check this now.

  • A mismatch here can send your email straight to spam.

Low engagement = low deliverability: If people aren’t opening or clicking, Microsoft’s filters will start hiding your messages.

It’s more important than ever to clean up your list and send content your audience actually wants to read.

Need help making sure your emails don’t vanish into spam?

I’ve got resources to walk you through it - just drop me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
